What is Conscious Café?

Many People have asked me “ Arpad, what is Conscious Café?” and I have always had many different answers to this question. There is no simple answer because to me it’s not just about one thing. Conscious Café is the latest expression of Beyond Sunday Seminars and Retreats. Conscious Café wants to be a place where Like Minded individuals can come together to socialize, network and connect with others that are also called or moved by Spirit in some way . It is a place to celebrate, laugh, grow, become awake, have fun and just simply kick back. We have created a very cozy and intimate “Coffee House” like atmosphere where you can enjoy a glass of wine, have some cheese and enjoy a cup of coffee with your dessert during intermission. The overriding theme for Conscious Café is Spiritually inspired music. It is my opinion that music is one of the few things that can bond us together regardless of our Spiritual beliefs. It is through music that we can connect with a power that is far greater then ourselves without judgment or fear. The music becomes the prayer which allows us to be free to leave our “little ego selves” behind so that we can reconnect with our own pure loving consciousness. If you ask me, “will music be the only bill of fare for the evening?” the simple answer is no. I can clearly see future Drumming Circles, Taize, Healing and Transformational Services, Spiritual Chanting and Meditation. This really is a new work in progress that I hope will never have an ending. Our professional musicians come from very different backgrounds and performing styles ranging from folk, rock, blues, Jazz, classical and country. They are the Spiritual voice of the community, representing all faiths and lifestyles. The best part of all this for me is that they all have a story to tell and combined with a short inspirational message by me and great music this is how I plan to accomplish Beyond Sunday Seminars “Conscious Café”. So please consider making this a part of your Monthly routine. We perform once a month on the First Friday of every month unless there is some sort of holiday.
